About our Scholarships scheme

We are committed to helping children take part in healthy activity and positive experiences. We are proud to offer scholarship places at our day camps for families who can’t afford to pay full price.

Scholarship places are funded by generous donations from trust funders so they are limited. We won’t fund the whole of your child’s place at camp, but we will help. We’ll look at every application individually so be as detailed and as honest as you can. We will never share any of the information you provide us with outside of the organisation without asking you first.

We usually only provide scholarships for one child, per week, per calendar year (A calendar year is here classified as being from Easter camp to the following February half-term camp). However, we warmly welcome submissions as YMCA reviews applications on an individual basis and the success of a scholarship request may depend on the level of funding available for that particular camp.

We will be in touch within seven working days if your child qualifies for scholarship consideration.

Nottinghamshire YMCA awards scholarships on a case-by-case basis, and returning applicants should note that previous success does not guarantee that you will be awarded a new scholarship even if you meet at least one of the qualifying criteria outlined below.
