at the Nottingham Contemporary
On the 29th April 2014 from 7 – 10pm, Nottinghamshire YMCA will celebrate the end of their Young Creatives project with live performances at the Nottingham Contemporary.
Appearing at the gig will be up-and-coming Nottingham artist, Josh Wheatley, who won the YMCA Digital Battle of the Bands competition at the Maze in December.
Runners up of the competition: Kezz and A-Dee, as well as other artists from the Young Creatives programme will also be showcasing their original music. Look out for Nina Smith and the Big Band too.
There will also be performances from Nottingham Contemporary’s youth group, Get Involved 17, Orchestrate and previous winners of the Nusic Future Sound of Nottingham: The Gorgeous Chans (2013).
This will be an amazing opportunity to hear some of Nottingham’s best musical talent, after all, Jake Bugg started his music career with the YMCA Youth music team!
Also on the night, there will be an exclusive preview of two film trailers for Nottinghamshire YMCA’s FilmCreative project funded by the First Light Movies Outreach Grants Programme. These trailers will later be
shown at Broadway Cinema.
In addition to live music, there will also be other activities run by partners of NGY myplace including competitions run by Nottingham Forest in the Community with prizes.
The event is free and open to everyone so come down.
