The second open mic night on September 6th, was a great success that displayed a collection of talent from the Young Creatives & external artists.
First up was an amazing talent called Josh Wheatley (@joshisok), this young man is so great that he has performed at both open mic nights so far! Check out the video below to hear his amazing voice.
Secondly we saw A Dee‘s (@TheOfficialADee) first every performance with the Young Creatives. He performed with great confidence and captivated the crowd with his tight rap performance.
Next up Alia (@aliabritton) took to the stage showing her vocal talent and performance ability. Although this was Alia’s first time performing with the Young Creatives, she performs around Nottingham regularly with her band and solo – she’s definitely one to watch!
Kieran Suileman has been coming to the Young Creatives for over a month now and since recording with us, he has shown a new confidence and approach to his music. Performing a remix and an original, his rap performance went down a treat with the audience!
Ashley Kirlew is one of the more experienced performers in the group, and after headlining last month’s Open Mic, he took to the stage performing his own unique style of euphoria dance/pop.
Mitchell Msungama has been coming to the Young Creatives since it started over a year ago. He never fails to captivate us with his soulful tone and performance. Mitchell is now also volunteering for YMCA Digital and undergoing his Gold Arts Award!
Last but not least Chloe McShane came to perform with her beautiful voice and guitar. Performing two of her own songs she showed true professional and technique with her folk/pop songs, definitely one to watch in the Nottingham circuit, with releases coming out from her Young Creatives artist management program.
We already have plans for our next night on October 4th! We are hoping for even more artists to partake including rap artists and DJs.
Open Mic sessions happen 6 – 8pm on the 1st Friday of every month.
