We are delighted to announce that Nottinghamshire YMCA will soon be rolling out a brand new Wellbeing programme to boost Mind, Body and Spirit in our workplace!
Promoting a positive culture to nurture our team’s physical and mental health is always one of our top priorities that resides at the heart of every programme and service the charity delivers.
To celebrate this commitment, Nottinghamshire YMCA this month signed up to become a ‘Mindful Employer‘, which is a UK-wide scheme run by Workways (part of Devon Partnership NHS Trust) to improve mental wellbeing in the workplace.
In addition to pledging allegiance to a wider wellbeing community, becoming a Mindful Employer enables us to access a bank of resources and information promoting best practice, legal guidance, training and support with managing mental health.
This is just one of many ways that Nottinghamshire YMCA plans to help staff members to feel able to lead a happy and well-balanced life both in and outside of work.
In particular, contracted employees who require support are warmly invited to make use of the additional counselling service via Riverside Natural Health Centre, in West Bridgford, which can be accessed confidentially through HR. This provider is in addition to the services provided by Westfield Health scheme – whereby if employees are members they can access confidential counselling in addition to a wide range of other benefits.
Rather than establishing a one-off campaign that will create a burst of impact before fizzling into the archives, the aim of our new wellbeing programme will be to inspire an ongoing positive wellbeing culture for everyone in our workplace.
With plans for healthy living schemes, events, top-tips articles, blog features, competitions and much more in the pipeline – watch this space for the latest developments!
