On Wednesday 11th December, our studio was turned into Santa’s grotto.
From 12pm – 7pm there was a party atmosphere in the studio as people came to shake their hips for a good cause.
100 presents were donated at the Zumbathon. Thorntons chocolates also generously donated to the Christmas gift appeal, which means every resident will have a present to open this Christmas.
The participants relished the Christmas Disco theme as Rose Royce’s ‘Carwash’ came on every hour. And amongst the Santa hats and Christmas t-shirts were flares, afros and metallics.
There was an inspiring mix of Zumba experts and first timers. One thing everyone had in common was a smile!
There were a number of participants who heroically made it through the whole 7 hours!
Thank you to everyone who participated in the Zumbathon and brought a Christmas present for one of the residents in our hostel.
Merry Christmas!

Spent my lunchbreak at the @NottsYMCA #Zumbathon2013! A fun festive class and we all made gift donations to people living at the hostel SW
