Never before has our homeless community needed your support more than today
As the impact of coronavirus touches every area of our daily lives, there are thousands of vulnerable young people who cannot escape some of the everyday challenges we are all facing.
By donating to our COVID-19 Appeal, you are helping YMCA to protect and equip the most vulnerable with food, essential toiletries, games and personal items such as kettles and fridges to help minimise their need to break social distancing when in isolation.
Our residents know only too well how rebuilding your life and relationships after homelessness is a significant challenge; but this international crisis makes this feat even more complicated. When every penny counts and you are required to socially distance and not leave your home, knowing that people care enough to ensure you can maintain basic hygiene and have enough food to eat each day is indescribably important for preserving a person’s morale, health and sense of wellbeing.
It has been heart-warming to witness generous donations and input already coming in from local businesses and individuals. With your support, we firmly believe that we can unite our local community under a banner of human compassion to make sure those most in need do not get left behind.
